“We will focus on one game at a time” – Daryl Samuel, Head Coach, Maharashtra Women’s Team

Ahead of Maharashtra’s opening encounter against Arunachal Pradesh in the Hero Senior Women’s National Championship on 29th November, Head Coach Daryl Samuel briefly shares his thoughts on the ongoing preparations.

EXCERPTS:

Thoughts on the squad?

We have a good team. It consists of senior players and some young talents. It’s a good combination of experienced and young footballers. The preparations are on to adapt to the Kerala weather.

How is the team bonding?

The team has been bonding well; on and off field. I am expecting them to play the way they have been training in the camp and put up a good show.

What are your expectations from the girls?

We will take one game at a time. Our focus is to reach to the next round of the tournament. We had 40 players attending the selection camp from different District Football Associations. Each player has been watched closely for their strengths and weaknesses.
