Maharashtra Senior Women’s Team set to play National Championship in Kerala

The Maharashtra Senior Women’s Team will kick off proceedings in the Hero 26th Senior Women’s National Football Championship 2021-22 in Kerala.  The tournament will be held between 28th of November to 9th of December, 2021.

Maharashtra is pitted in Group-E against Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Sikkim. All matches of Group-E will be played in EMS Corporation Stadium, Kozhikode.

Speaking about the preparations and the upcoming event, WIFA Hon. General Secretary, Mr. Souter Vaz said, “We’re elated that football is returning after the disruptions imposed by the pandemic. This is a good opportunity for the women’s team and I know they will perform well. My best wishes to all the players, coaches and support staff,”

Maharashtra will play their first match against Arunachal Pradesh on 29th November at 9:30 IST.
