The WIFA Inter District Championship for Junior Boys concluded with Mumbai emerging as the champions after a dominant 6-0 victory over Pune in the final held at Shirpur, Dhule.
The tournament, which saw participation from 33 districts across Maharashtra, was a thrilling display of young football talent competing in a knockout format.
Mumbai, the defending champions, showcased their strength and determination throughout the competition. They saved their best for last, securing a comprehensive win against Pune in the final to retain their title. Pune, though finishing as runners-up, put up a commendable performance, battling their way to the final with resilience and skill.
In the third-place playoff, Thane defeated Ahmednagar 3-0 to secure the bronze, capping off a memorable tournament for the team.
