Vikhrolians FC worked hard to snatch a narrow 2-1 win against a determined Mubarak Hunters in a Third Division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League – 2012-13, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday.
Sachin Kudekar and Bunty Gawde, both struck a goal each in the first half, to give the Vikhroli side a 2-0 advantage, before Shahdab Khan reduced the margin for the Hunters in the second session.
Later in a Second Division contest, Bombay Gymkhana and GKW Rangers shared the spoils as they were engaged in a 1-1 draw. Kevin Saha scored for the Gymkhana team, while Yogesh Mhatre was on target for the Rangers.
