Our Lady of Fatima SC produced a very strong performance to outplay
Mahalaxmi FC by a whopping 9-0 margin in a one-sided Division-II match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) league, played at the St Xavier’s ground Parel, on Sunday afternoon.
Striker Lancy D’Souza with his three strikes played a stellar role in Fatima’s emphatic victory. He was well supported by Kunal Negi, Marcus Fernandes, Elton Fernandes, Norbert Fernandes, Jaywant Pathak and Rohan Patil all contributing a goal each to complete Mahalaxmi’s misery.
In other matches of the same division, Challengers SC and Super Soccer School ‘B’ shared honours in a 1-1 draw. Vishal Palekar was on target for Challengers, while Vinetesh Mehta scored for Super Soccer School.
Later, Bandra FC subdued St Joseph’s, Juhu by a 3-1 margin. Elton Fernandes, Tanvir Nair and Guru Borade scored one goal each for the winners and Bradely D’Souza reduced the margin for the losers.
