Indian Tigers managed to scrape past Shreenath Nagar, 1-0, in the Mumbai District Football Association’s (MDFA) Third Division, round-robin semifinal play-off match at the St Xavier’s ground, Parel, on Wednesday. Nikhil D’Souza got the lone goal in the 25th minute.
In the other semifinal, Silicon FC overcame Shanti Sagar, 4-3, via the tie-breaker shootout which settled a goalless contest. For Silicon, Daniel George, Thomson Mathias, Kunal Muldani and Chetan Saxena were able to bulge the net while for Shanti Sagar, the scorers were Deepak Shelke, Tanveer Bandekar and Kiran Sawant.
