Juhi Shah to Captain Maharashtra Women’s Football Team

Maharashtra team to face Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

After a gruelling 2 weeks of the trials at Cooperage Football Stadium, the team has finally been declared. The team boasts of 2 players who have had played for India viz. Abeer Arsiwala (Jr. International) and Laura Estibero (Ex – International).

The team is as follows:

Afreen Peerbhoy, Abeer Arsiwala, Deepika Masurkar, Juhi Shah (C), Laura Estibero, Pooja Dhamal, Priya Tiwari, Snehal Manchar, Durva Vahia (Mumbai), Ankita Shinde, Surbhi Manjrekar (Thane), Ashalata Pharande (Satara), Alisha Ranikhetwala (VC), Darshana Sanas, Hiba Fiquih (Pune), Mrudul Shinde (Kolhapur), Kirti Thapa, Shraddha Yadav, Sunita Yadav (Nagpur) & Pooja More (Gondia).

The Manager and Head Coach of the team is AFC B License holder Mrs. Kalpana Dass who is being accompanied by Asst. Coach Fenny Fernandes and Phyiso Neelam Dave.

Madhya Pradesh is hosting the 21st Senior Women’s National Football Championship, 2015-16. The team’s matches will be held at Railway Ground, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Top 2 teams will qualify from each group. The Final round will be played at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh in January 2016.
