14th August 2017, Mumbai: After Football School of India (FSI) shocked Bodyline SC 1-0 in the opening game, Football Leaders Academy made a strong statement after defeating Kenkre FC 9-1 at Cooperage Stadium on Monday evening.
Right from the kick-off, Football Leaders Academy bossed Kenkre FC. Sneha Shinde opened the scoring within minutes, giving Kenkre FC a huge blow at such an early stage of the match.
Manisha, who was undoubtedly Kenkre FC’s most promising player performed brilliantly throughout the match. After receiving the ball possession on the right wing, she managed to danced past couple of defenders to score from a very tight angle to level the score.
Moments later, Khushbu Kumari and Amrita Kumari scored two quick goals to make it 3-1 for Football Leaders Academy.
In the second-half, Football Leaders Academy scored six times to win the match comprehensively.
Apart from Shimona Saldhana, even Substitute Reshmi Kumari scored a brilliant hat-trick in the second-half where two of the goals were scored from outside the penalty box.
Kenkre FC had numerous chances to convert but a brilliant performance defensively proved vital for FLA.
