Team India went down to Zambia 0-5 in an International Friendly at
the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Tuesday. For Zambia, Musaknya Bruce Bwala scored a hat-trick while Mulilo Jimmy Chisenga and Sitali Joseph Mushumba scored one apiece.
This was the last of the International Friendlies which India played prior to the SAFF which kicks-off in the Capital on December 2. India had earlier played two International Friendlies against Malaysia — drawing the first 1-1 in Guwahati and then winning 3-2 in Kolkata.
India went into the Zambia match without the striking duo of Sunil Chhetri and Jeje Lalpeklua, both of whom are away for trials at Scottish giants Rangers. The duo would be joining the team in Delhi on December 1. Team India lands in the Capital on November 30 and would be based at the Official Team Hotel, Double Tree, Hilton in Mayur Vihar for the SAFF Championship.
