In the end, it was Kolhapur who emerged victorious yet again, successfully defending their crown with a dominant campaign that reaffirmed their status as one of Maharashtra’s strongest footballing districts.
The tournament featured a competitive structure where Gadchiroli, Wardha, Thane, and Palghar qualified for Tier 1 after emerging champions from their respective group competitions. Joining them directly in Tier 1 were established powerhouses Kolhapur, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Pune.

However, once the match began, Kolhapur completely took control.
Backed by a passionate home crowd of more than 10,000 spectators at the Shahu Chhatrapati Stadium, the defending champions delivered a masterclass performance, dismantling Pune 5-0 in a one-sided final. From the opening whistle, Kolhapur dominated possession, created relentless attacking pressure, and showcased the quality that has made them the benchmark in Maharashtra’s domestic football circuit.
