WIFA appoints Kundan Chandra as State Head for Grassroots in Maharashtra.

WIFA on shaking hands with the partnership of the FFA-AIFF in the last week of January took step to recruit the most suitable man Kundan Chandra to handle the Grassroots program for Maharashtra.

Kundan Chandra is a AFC ‘B’ License holder also an AIFF Instructor for “D” License and  AIFF instructor for Grassroots Certification was termed to be the right choice, been an ex-Navy man he has good fundamentals and presentation skills.

WIFA CEO, Henry Menezes says that the blueprint for Maharashtra will be ready in a months time, meanwhile the search is on to select Six Regional Development Officers who will operate Six centres to spread the football at the Grassroot level.

After successfully creating over 900 ‘AIFF ‘D’ License coaches, WIFA plans to create a pool of 1000 Grassroot Leaders for Maharashtra in the next two years.

Kundan Chandra says, there is great potential and bringing out an awareness is very important and WIFA has a great vision for grassroots one of it being mass participation, i am sure this association with the FFA-AIFF partnership will bring new skills and expertise.
