U-13 ASMITA City Football League 2025–26
The U-13 ASMITA City Football League 2025–26 was successfully conducted across four regions of Maharashtra Solapur, Jalgaon, Ratnagiri, and Thane. The league featured a total of 8 teams and witnessed the participation of 120 players. The tournament was organized in association with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
The league saw impressive participation and showcased several young and promising talents in the U-13 Girls category. Based on their performances across all regions, selected players were invited to attend a 10-day coaching camp held at the Cooperage Ground, Mumbai.
Following the coaching camp, a squad comprising 14 players and 2 officials represented Maharashtra at the U-13 ASMITA Zonal Football League 2025–26, held in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The team competed against strong opponents including Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Gujarat.
Despite putting up a commendable performance, the team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the All India stage.
This initiative stands as a commendable effort by the Government of India to promote grassroots football and empower young girls through structured competition and systematic talent identification.
