Maharashtra girls will face Chhattisgarh and Manipur in the group stage.
After weeks of trials and training at the Cooperage Football Stadium, the team has finally been declared. Coach Durva Vahia was optimistic about the team’s chances as she pointed out the blend of experience and raw talent in the team. She also mentioned the determination and drive in the players to prove their mettle on the big stage.
The team boasts of many players who have had played for India viz. Bhagyashree Dalvi (Jr. International), Akanksha Khandalkar (Jr. International) and Karen Pais (Former Captain and Jr. International).

The Head Coach of the team is AFC C License holder Ms. Durva Vahia who is being accompanied by Manager Annie Paul and Physiotherapist Pooja Mehta.
Odisha is hosting the Junior Women’s National Football Championship, 2016-17. The team’s matches will be held at Cuttack, Odisha.
