Falcon Boys, Mazagaon were in their elements as they outplayed FC Khar

Sporting by a whopping 5-0 margin in a Division-II encounter of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) league, played at the St Xavier’s ground Parel, on Monday.

The Mazagaon outfit took off in grand fashion as Brian Sam put them in front with a goal in the very fourth minute. Dominating the proceedings, Mendes got into the scoring act by adding two goals in the 16th and 28th minutes to give Falcons a commanding 3-0 half-time lead. After the break Sandeep Fernandes netted the fourth goal before Mendes got his third and the teams fifth goal to complete the win.

Earlier, in a Third Division encounter Saraswati FC got the better of Bandra Terminus by a 1-0 margin. Vishnu Mulik’s effort helped Saraswati get the lone winning goal in the 29th minute.
