Our Women’s Committee Memeber, Mrs. Annie Paul represented Maharashtra in the recently concluded FIFA Capacity Building Workshop for Women Administrators conducted by All India Football Federation in New Delhi
The three-day workshop was organized by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The programme focused on empowering women in football administration by enhancing their technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and decision-making skills, with the broader objective of strengthening football governance in the country.
The comprehensive training covered several key areas critical to the sport’s development, including leadership and communication, good governance, marketing, public relations and media management, safeguarding, club licensing, academy accreditation, and grassroots football development.
More than 50 female administrators from across the country were a part of this workshop. These include representatives from Indian Women’s League (IWL) clubs, State Associations, the Sports Authority of India, team managers of the Indian women’s national teams, as well as coaches.
Annie Paul’s participation reflects not only her personal commitment to advancing football administration but also the broader efforts to promote the sport in Maharashtra. Her presence at this national platform marks a significant milestone for Maharashtra football and underscores the state’s growing influence in the Indian football ecosystem.
